Advertising Disclosure

New2h Help is free to read because it shows advertising. Here is exactly how that works, and how we keep it separate from what we write.

How we make money

We earn money when ads from Google AdSense and other advertising networks are shown or clicked on our pages. We do not currently use affiliate links or paid placements, and we do not accept payment to write about, recommend or avoid any company. If that ever changes, we will label it clearly on the page and update this disclosure.

Ads never shape our articles

Advertisers do not see articles before they are published and have no say in what we cover. Ads are chosen and shown automatically by the advertising networks, so we do not personally select or endorse the products in them.

How ads appear

  • Every ad is labeled "Advertisement".
  • Ads appear in a few fixed spaces — below the opening of an article, partway through it, at the end, and in the sidebar on larger screens. They never move the text you are reading.
  • Ads are never placed inside our scam examples and are kept away from buttons, so that nothing can be confused with our content or clicked by mistake.
  • We do not use pop-up ads or ads that cover the page.
  • Advertising scripts only load if you accept advertising cookies. See our privacy policy.

See a suspicious ad?

Scammers sometimes buy ads too. Never call a phone number or download software from an ad that claims your device is infected or your account is locked. If you see an ad on our site that looks like a scam, email contact@new2h.com with a description or a screenshot, and we will ask the ad network to remove it. You can also report it directly using the ad's "AdChoices" or "Why this ad?" menu.
