Who we are
New2h Help (help.new2h.com) is an independent publication. Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@new2h.com.
Information we collect
- No accounts or forms. You do not need to sign up or give us your name to read this site. We do not run comment sections or newsletter sign-ups at this time.
- Email you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it only to reply and to fix errors you report, and we delete correspondence we no longer need.
- Technical data. Our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
- Settings saved on your device. Your text-size choice and your advertising-cookie choice are saved in your own browser's local storage. They are never sent to us.
Cookies and advertising
This site is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertising scripts are not loaded until you click "Accept" in the advertising choices bar. If you choose "No thanks", no advertising cookies are set by our ad partners through this site.
If you accept:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's My Ad Center, and opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
- Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services and how Google uses cookies in advertising.
You can change your choice at any time with the "Privacy choices" link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising, and we do not load advertising scripts.
How we use and share information
We use information only to run, secure and improve the site and to answer messages. We do not sell personal information for money. We share information only:
- with service providers that host and protect the site (such as Cloudflare);
- with advertising partners such as Google, only after you accept advertising cookies;
- when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our readers or others.
Under some state laws, allowing advertising partners to use cookies for targeted ads may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. You can opt out at any time as described above.
Your privacy rights in U.S. states
Residents of California and of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and others) may have the right to:
- know what personal information we have collected about you, and get a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information we hold about you;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising;
- limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not intentionally collect it);
- appeal our decision if we deny your request; and
- not be treated differently for using any of these rights.
To make a request, email contact@new2h.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. You may use an authorized agent. Because we hold very little information, we may ask for details to locate any data related to you, and we will not ask for sensitive information such as your Social Security number. We aim to respond within 45 days, as required by most state laws.
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data security and retention
The site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections. We keep emails only as long as needed to respond or to correct our content. Technical logs are kept by our providers under their own retention policies.
Visitors outside the United States
This site is intended for readers in the United States. Before we serve personalized ads to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we will use a consent tool certified by Google, as Google requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted on this page.
