Report a scam in minutes

Reporting helps stop scammers — even if you didn't lose money.

Where to report any scam

Age 60 or older? Free help: 1-833-FRAUD-11 (Mon–Fri, 10–6 ET)

Every scam has the same four signs

  1. They pretend to be a company, agency or person you trust.

  2. There’s a problem or a prize your account, a warrant, a relative in trouble — or a win.

  3. They pressure you to act right now, and to keep it secret.

  4. They want odd payment gift cards, wire, crypto, a payment app or cash.

Then do three things. Stop — don't reply, click or pay. Check — contact the company yourself, using a number you trust. Talk — tell someone before you send anything.
